Orient Men's YFHAB001H Star Retro-Future Red Automatic Watch by Orient
Features
DescriptionThis series is known for its inspirations of the 1950’s sports car. Motivated by the racecars of the progressive era, this watch focuses on the sporty and innovative look of its time. By combining both the classic remnants of the past with the futuristic designs of the present, this watch offers you a creative balance of time. You will notice how the elaborate design of the dial is one of the watch’s best qualities. This is the type of watch for you if you value the classic design of American vintage cars. The dial for this watch is a semi-skeleton incorporated with the mechanical design of a car. You will notice how the hour and minute indicators are replaced with racecar indicators. In the place of the 9 o’clock indicator is a steering wheel over the balance wheel (a timekeeping device that allows movements of the hands). The power reserve indicator for this watch is in the intricate shape of a speedometer. A power reserve indicator informs you in units of hours of how much power is left in the spring of the watch. Since the watch is automatic, it naturally stores energy as it is being worn. Another interesting feature of the dial is the second hand. It is designed to replicate the look of a speedometer inside a car. The time indicator and the hour and minute indicator are luminescent. This allows for the owner to view the time during the evening without any difficulty. You will also notice there are screws placed throughout the dial of this watch. The numerals are the same font of a 1950’s racecar. This watch has 3 different variations in the color of the dial: orange, navy blue, and black. The case comes in a finished stainless steel construction. The crown is screw-down which prevents water from entering the case. A crown is a piece used to set time that is located on the side of the watch. A unique feature of the exhibition caseback is the car windshield. The owner is able to look into the mechanics of the watch while imagining being behind the steering wheel of a racecar. On top of the exhibition caseback is the official OrientStar logo. The exhibition caseback is basically a glass piece located on the back of the case that allows you to look into the mechanics of the watch. Last but no least is the band and the clasp. The first two links of the stainless steel band are tapered followed by untapered links. The combination of matte finish and design featured in this metal band is similar to those of racing stripes. You will also notice the band has both matte finished and finished metal links. Another interesting attribute of this band is that it comes with bolts that separate each link. For this watch, you will appreciate the deployment clasp because it adds security and stability when it is worn by its owner.
